Christopher Walker asks: I have a bisc colored brick with "WYNN" stamped into it. Do you have any information on this type of brick. It was found in southern NJ. Thank you
Karl Gurcke, in his book, "Bricks and Brickmaking", and citing a range of " American Refractories Institute" journals, indicates that the WYNN trademark may be attributed to the "General Refractories Co." in Pennsylvania. The mark was used in years 1921 - 1942
General Refractories had plants in Karthaus, West Decatur and Orviston ... and other locations in PA. ref. Jim Graves - "Brick Brands of the United States"
