I found a brick at low tide with W S G on Plum Island Newbury any ideas of from whwer it came

    Jim Graves, in his work, Brick Manufacturers of the United States", lists W. S. Goodrich of Epping, NH as a brickmanufacturer. Graves "has" them in business in the time period of 1905 - 1976. I rather suspect that Goodrich is your query.
    I have found WSG in eastern NY.

    I have found a brick reading France Mumspall found in a river in NH. Anyone know info on this brick?

  4. I have a number of bricks marked "WSG" in an older patio that I date to the mid "50's at my home in Bedford, NH., built c 1783. Disappointed to know they're not older than that, however, the original "nogging" in the walls of the first floor of my home are unmarked poorly burned bricks. When I salvaged some of these and stored them outdoors, they soon returned to the soil!
