OUC or CUC or DUC?

We have found some bricks when digging founds for paths at Washington Old Hall - National Trust. They come from Penshaw Brick works and Lambton brick works, there is also one marked Northwich. We have one that we can't make out the mark, it could be OUC or CUC or DUC. Anyone got any ideas what company the mark is for? Its a creamy coloured brick, not as smooth as the traditional red brick.
