I reside in upstate NY and found a brick with the initials M.A. It is clearly M.A. and not MA for Massachusetts. Any ideas.

    Hello Upstate,

    Your brick was probably made by Micheal Arkinson who subsequently ended up with the family brickyard in Hudson, NY.

    M.A. marked brick have been found in Hudson and in surrounding communities. It would be interesting to know where you may have found yours..
