Hi,
Recently, my neighbor tore down an old retaining wall and sidewalk in front of his 1900 Colonial Revival. My partner had all the old bricks dumped in our driveway, and now has more than 1000 cleanedof the old concrete. They say A B & T Co Little Rock on them (I have photos). Some of them look like they were in a fire, and some actually had been dipped in parafin wax. By the time they are all clean, we will have close to 1700 of them. We live in the historic district of Hillcrest (originally a town called Pulaski Heights) in Little Rock, Arkansas. I believe that AB&T Co Little Rock was originally Arkansas Brick & Tile Co. Any information would be great! I will also try and download a couple of pictures I have of the brick. THANKS SO MUCH!!!
I found one same name today in St Louis. Says Standard #1 above name. Milton J Murry PE
ReplyDeleteFound a few of these on our property, most in rough shape, we used them as a border on a patio with the lettering up.
ReplyDeleteI found one in Hot Springs, AR in an old creek just outside of town. It actually reads "A 8 & T Co. LiTTLE RocK". The "8" appears to be upside down. Pretty neat.
