Someone found a brick with the name HEDGES in it. My Great grandfather owned a brick company in Newburgh, NY. There is a "HEDGES" brick in the Cornwall, NY Museum.
I am in the process of building a traditional timber frame barn with a brick veneer foundation. I purchased a variety of used bricks through Craigslist for the project. Some of the bricks have the name HEDGES on them. The name is spelled in all capitals with the "S" backwards. I have no idea where they came from originally but I bought them this summer in Huntington, Long Island, NY .
