Hi Ron,Jim Graves of the IBCA lists something close to what you describe: "IND. BLOCK BRAZIL" This was made by the Indiana Paving Brick and Block Company in Brazil, IN which operated from 1891 to 1917.The City of Brazil website states:"Brazil, Indiana is located in the heart of the Midwest, an hour drive from Indianapolis and a three hour drive from St. Louis, Chicago, Louisville, and Cincinnati. Brazil has a rich history in brick and clay industry. Evidence of this can be seen as far away as Oregon and Texas and as close as our own city streets. (http://www.brazil.in.gov)
I am looking for a brick made by Brazil Clay Co. It is on my 1920s house. It is a scratch face brick with only 19 straight and deep scratch marks. We are going to paint them, so color is not a factor. The brick is 8 x 3 3/4 x 2 1/4.
