The old school house in Sedgwick, KS was torn down and the gentleman I purchased the house from purchased the school building, demolished it, cleaned the bricks and built the house in 1973. I have 2 fireplaces where the brick was used as well. Some local gentleman have said they were paid a nickel for each brick they cleaned.

TravisAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17364900310727946395noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3187763883786048612.post-12848002360017602892017-09-03T19:01:24.339-04:002017-09-03T19:01:24.339-04:00Maybe a path to the original outhouse?Maybe a path to the original outhouse?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3187763883786048612.post-51960298445789791082017-05-14T15:49:49.902-04:002017-05-14T15:49:49.902-04:00Brick patio made from them. We have used fireplace brick from an old cabin built in the 40's or 50's. The cabins flodded many times along the river edge. We have built a brick patio and walkway. The three "V"s correspond ...Hi Brenda,

The three "V"s correspond to Vertigris Valley Vitrified ... Brick & Tile Co. [of] Neodesha, Kansas. I don't know much about their value as there seem to be a few at most of the brick swapmeets that are held at various places around the country each year, and they have been free for the taking. Now these swapmeets take place in the relm of brick collectors.
Outside this relm, their value is speculative.Fred Riecknoreply@blogger.com
