"D & D" or "O & D"

Can anyone identify the maker of bricks found in a retaining wall in Perth Amboy, New Jersey with a frog of what appears to be "D & D" or "O & D" (or combination of O and D)? Possibly "C & D" or "C & O". The letters are square, so it's difficult to tell if it's O or D. I can provide images. Thank you!

  1. Hi Anon,

We know what at you mean about "square" "O" s and "D" s, and I think we can help. It would really be good to have a photo though. Are there several of this kind in the wall? ... or is there a mixture of initialed brick in the wall?
