OXFORD, ST JOE, Bessemer Block.

  2. The OXFORD, which is most common, is a raised letter red building brick from the Alwine Brick Co. of New Oxford, Pennsylvania. The St.Joe is from Slidel, Louisiana. If you found these together or near each other in one of the southern states The Oxford you mention may be from - Oxford, Alabama. It's hard to really judge with out seeing a picture of it.

  3. I have a brick that is stamped Bessemer Block, Youngstown, O. I think it is a sample brick because it is only 1 3/8" X 1 5/8" X 3 1/2". Don't know anything more about it.
