I HAVE A WOODEN BRICK MOLD WITH H-W 39397 REVERSED INSIDE FROM PORTSMOUTH,OHIO.ANY INFO WOULD BE GREAT.LOOKING FOR A GOOD HOME FOR IT.SAILING238@COMCAST.COM
The H-W followed by a number is quite likely a mould used by the Harbison-Walker Refractories Co of (a lot of places) Acording to the compilations of the IBCA's Jim Graves, H-W had plants in Pennsylvania, Missori,Alabama, Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio and others.
The number is probably the equivalent of a part number.
