I have come to have a couple old bricks I am curious about. One has "OHIO" in its frog, while the other has "CONARD". Both were recovered from the demolition of a front porch on an older home in Indianapolis this June. Have you ever seen either of these before? Any story as to their origins?

ReplyDeleteAccording to Jim Graves" work- "Brick Brands of the United States", CONARD is the mark of the Ohio Brick and Tile Co. of Mansfield, Ohio.
The OHIO mark is that of the Ohio Brick Co. of Toledo, OH
